Moeka Ono

Moeka joined ECCB in 2019 as a Ph.D. student in the Forest Ecology Lab under the supervision of Dr. Asko Noormets. Her work focuses on understanding carbon allocation and soil carbon dynamics in forest ecosystems. She is particularly interested in how soil carbon processes and forest carbon allocation respond to natural and anthropogenic disturbances, such as forest management practices, drought, and wildfires, and how these responses shape ecosystem processes over time.
