Professional Summary
Felicity Newell is broadly interested in global change biology, especially in tropical and subtropical ecosystems. Her research examines effects of spatiotemporal variation in climate and rainfall extremes on biodiversity and ecosystem function including work on species interactions and trophic ecology. Working across scales, she combines field studies, experiments, and global synthesis to examine how ecological communities adapt to change across space and time. Her research informs biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and human well-being.
