Professional Summary
Dr. Delbert Gatlin III began his career at Texas A&M University in 1987. Dr. Gatlin has since served in many capacities and leadership roles at Texas A&M, first in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and now in the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology. Dr. Gatlin is a Regents Professor and also serves as an Associate Senior Scientist with the Aquaculture Protein Centre of Norway. Gatlin has taught and mentored undergraduate and graduate students in courses and research relating to aquaculture and aquatic animal nutrition. Dr. Gatlin conducts and oversees research in the Fish Nutrition Lab, which is focused on research and teaching that promotes development of a sound biological basis for warmwater aquaculture and aquatic ecology.

The Fish Nutrition Lab is focused on research and teaching that promotes development of a sound biological basis for warm-water aquaculture and aquatic ecology. Dr. Gatlin’s areas of interest are fish nutrition, aquaculture, fisheries ecology and nutrition/biochemistry.
