Professional Summary

Otshabile Bahetoleng studies human-wildlife coexistence and has experience in community consultation and environmental impact assessments. Having worked with Cheetah Conservation Botswana as both a volunteer and intern, she transitioned to a role as an Environmental Impact Assessment Practitioner from 2018 to 2021, focusing on dialogue between local communities and development stakeholders. Otshabile’s research interests center on building stronger relationships between people who live alongside wildlife, academic researchers, and decision-makers, aiming to create locally relevant strategies rooted in context-specific philosophies.
