The Teaching Track in Ecology and Conservation Biology is designed to train future secondary school teachers in the life sciences. Students who complete this track will receive both a Secondary Education Minor and a Major in Ecology and Conservation Biology. After successfully passing the teacher certification exam, graduates will be qualified to teach life science courses in Texas high schools and science courses in Texas middle schools. Our mission is to produce highly qualified secondary education teachers, contributing to the next generation of scientifically competent Texans.
