The minor in Ecology and Conservation Biology is offered as a supplement to other related majors. By completing the minor, students will gain a foundation in the complex interactions of the Earth’s biodiversity and ecosystems.
These basic principles may be applied to biodiversity conservation, assessment of environmental health, and the management of complex systems involving aspects of ecology ranging from genes to ecosystems and their interactions with landscape, hydrology, and climate.
The ECCB minor does not have an application, deadlines, or a cap on eligibility hours. As long as you are a current undergraduate student at Texas A&M University, you are eligible to pursue this minor. Declaration of minor is made in the student’s home college or major department. Students may request that their major advisor add the ECCB minor. Some colleges and departments outside ECCB may not permit their students to declare a minor.
