Professional Summary

X. Ben Wu, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology and a Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University. The current research of Dr. Wu’s lab group is focused on the spatial ecology and pyric herbivory in savanna landscapes and associated education program focused on educator development and educational innovations. Other recent projects include landscape biogeochemistry of savanna systems, ecology of terracette landscapes, and authentic scientific inquiries in introductory ecology courses and their effects on student learning. He teaches a large-enrollment introductory ecology course and a graduate course on landscape analysis.
